Books in a Bag

A SERF grant funded “Books in a Bag”, a program which puts books directly into students’ hands and supports independent reading at home for the youngest readers. This is particularly helpful for young readers as they navigate reading in a remote learning model when books are being quarantined.  These curated books will enhance reading comprehension, decoding skills, vocabulary knowledge and the joy of reading. This grant will support more than 100 students in having access to just right fit paper books for independent reading at home.
