Our Mission

SERF’s mission is to raise funds to help Sudbury educators bring their innovative and enriching grant ideas to life. SERF funds grant ideas that take students’ learning experiences further than what's outlined in curriculum and operating budgets.

What's a SERF Grant?

SERF funds grants that promote innovation and enrichment across all educational departments and professional development. SERF grants provide an important outlet for teachers, parents and students to experiment, learn, and improve.

How does it work?

Educators initiate grant proposals, and after an in-depth review process those proposals that meet SERF’s established criteria for innovation and enrichment are funded.

With $18,846 granted in just 2020-2021 alone.
